"The Peal of Old Paul's" is a song traditionally sung by people during 'November season,' weeks prior to the festival of Novembertide. On 8 November, after witnessing the beheading of two unnatural criminals, families visit parlours and sing traditional Novembertide songs around the piano. One of those songs includes "The Peal of Old Paul's."[1]
