The Bone Season is an upcoming television adaption of The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon. It's planned as an episodic television series, totaling 8 hours long.

Development[]

Film rights to the highly anticipated book series, The Bone Season, have been secured by London-based performance capture studio The Imaginarium on October 22, 2012, long before the first book's release. The Imaginarium was founded by Andy Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish, both of whom will serve as producers on The Bone Season. In October 2013, 20th Century Fox teamed up with Chernin Entertainment to acquire The Bone Season from The Imaginarium.[1]

The show will be produced by Harriet Hammond of Little Hat Productions. With input from Samantha Shannon, the screen adaptation is currently being written by Islay Bell-Webb. Its being produced by Jonathan Cavendish, Peter Chernin, Andy Serkin, and Jenno Topping. Little Hat Productions is developing the series with Rainmaker Content as the distributor. It is executive produced by Harriet Hammond and Victory Glynn at GCB Films.
