Aludra Chertan (pronounced: Ah-LOO-dra KER-tan) is a Rephaim Keeper in Sheol I.

History[]
Like all the Rephaim, Aludra arrived on Earth from the Netherworld in 1859.
The Bone Season[]
Aludra is the keeper of Julian Amesbury, Felix Coombs, and Ella. She feeds on Felix's aura on his first day in Sheol I.
Aludra is there for Paige Mahoney's first test. Nashira Sargas commands Aludra and Warden to disarm Paige without using spirit, so that they can beat her, which Aludra is more than happy to do. The only reason Paige is able to hold her own for even a moment, is because she inhales the scent of ectoplasm on the knife she stabbed Alsafi Sualocin with. She begins to feed on Paige's aura, causing Paige to start bleeding from her eyes. Audra's lust for aura weakens her defenses, allowing Paige to attack her dreamscape. Aludra immediately drops to her knees and puts her hands on the sides of her head. She screams, "Get her out!" She forces Paige from her dreamscape and then yells out to Nashira and the other Rephs assembled that Paige is a dreamwalker.
Aludra is supposed to be teaching Julian and his fellow voyants about subliming but spends most of her time kicking them around. She makes the voyants she's in charge of sleep in the wine cellar on the floor in the dark.
Aludra kicks Julian out after he and Paige miss curfew, making him a harlie.
On their way to the train during the revolt, Paige and Nick are forced to fight off several Rephs, including Aludra. Aludra begins feeding on Nick. She is attacked by an Emite just when she has Nick in her grasp, and is killed. Since Rephaim cannot mortally die, she is what is known as sequestered. Her body will not rot and her dreamscape remains in the æther. She is essentially eternally imprisoned, not truly dead but not truly alive either.
Physical Description[]
Like all Rephaim, she is very tall with chartreuse yellow eyes, except for when she's fed on aura. She is sly looking. She has sleek blond hair and feline eyes. She is feral, barely appearing civilized. Her eyes turn to a bright, sweltering red when feeding on aura.
Personality[]
Aludra is vicious. She is always spoiling for a fight, gets excited by humans' weaknesses, and is starving for aura. Her dreamscape is very old and very strong. Her lust for aura weakens her defenses enough to allow Paige to attack her dreamscape, but only for a moment.
